Security deposits, inspections and damage claims

Separate rental charges from the refundable deposit and document evidence.

Review the booking’s separate security deposit amount, collection method, permitted deductions and release process before accepting. A displayed deposit is not necessarily collected by the rental checkout.

At pickup and return, document the vehicle condition, existing damage, fuel, mileage and agreed handover details using the designated process. Do not rely on an undocumented cash deduction or a verbal change.
