Vehicle location tracking and privacy

Owner access is limited to their vehicles, with authorized platform monitoring.

Vehicle tracking requires a compatible installed tracker, mobile connectivity and a configured tracking server connection. A Google Maps browser key displays a map; it does not receive GPS positions by itself.

When configured, vehicle owners can view their own assigned vehicles and authorized platform administrators can monitor the fleet. Tracking must be disclosed before a tracked trip, with appropriate privacy and retention controls.

Location updates can be delayed or unavailable. Do not treat a map marker as a guarantee of safety, recovery or current position. Remote engine cut-off is not a customer support action and must not be promised by AI.

In administrator API keys & settings, GPS tracking offers the existing Traccar connector and a SinoTrack cloud setup-planning option. The latter is awaiting official API documentation and an implemented adapter; saved URLs or a setup check do not collect positions. Switching to cloud planning stops the Traccar feed until a supported provider is selected again. GoDaddy cPanel can host the platform, but SSH alone does not prove direct receiver or custom inbound port support.

GPS monitoring appears in an owner’s workspace only after a supported connection is configured and an enabled tracker is assigned to one of that owner’s actual vehicles. A pending SinoTrack cloud setup does not qualify. Administrators retain access for setup and device assignment. An offline tracker can remain visible after setup, with its actual last-report status.
